 Jimmy sometimes makes me angry. The thing that annoys me is not 

what he says but the way he says it.

「ジミーには腹が立つことがある。僕を怒らせるのは、あいつの言う事ではなくて、その言い方だ」

【読み方】

①what はカタマリを作って「〜なもの、こと」と訳す

what he says　「彼が言うこと」

② the way S V 「SVのやり方、方法」

the way he says it 「彼の言い方」

【あえて直訳】

ジミーは時々、私を怒らせる。私をイライラさせるのは、彼が言う事ではなく、彼の言い方だ
